The College of Law, under the supervision of the continuing education department, held a seminar entitled (The Spread of Drug Abuse in Iraq - Risks and Solutions), by the Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Al- Khafaji (the dean of the College of Law, on Monday, 14/6/2021, and attended by a number of faculty members. The researcher explained that Iraq was a conduit for Iranian, Afghani and Pakistani drug smuggling to the Arab Gulf states, particularly to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, but now it is turned into a drug-consuming country, especially narcotic medical drugs that are now sold on the sidewalks, and there is a strong demand for their abuse, as promoted by parties There are many hidden narcotic substances that are alien to Iraqi society, most notably hashish and cocaine, which has led to the spread of addiction, especially among adolescents. Especially in the central and southern regions.
