The College of Law, under the supervision of the Continuing Education department, held a seminar entitled (Allocations for Parliamentary Membership in the Constitution of Iraq for the year 2005). It was attended by  number of faculty members and employees.

As the researcher dealt with Parliament, it is one of the three public authorities of the state, and it exercises many functions, the most important of which are legislative and oversight. However, Parliament cannot fully exercise its legislative and oversight functions, unless it is independent and in a way that guarantees it to carry out its functions freely. Parliament has given constitutional and legal guarantees, as it has been keen to organize, and the most important of these guarantees is represented in the legal rules that grant members of Parliament financial rights and privileges.
