The collegeof Law at Al-Kafeel University, in cooperation with the Training and Continuing Education Unit, organized a symposium entitled Seminar Entitled: Indigenizing the Sustainable Development Goals in Iraq, presented by Dr. Saad Abdul-Hussein Nima Al-Shamry, one of the academic members at the college of Law. The seminar was attended by the Asst. Prof. Dr Ahmed Ali Al-Khafaji, the Dean of the College, and a number of the college academic members.
Al-Shammari explained the concept of sustainable development goals, which are a set of goals set by the United Nations, also known as the Global Agenda 2030, a global vision that aims to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and to ensure peace, prosperity and equality to all people by the year 2030.
The vision set to achieve these goals includes four main topics, which are environmental issues, social and economic issues as well as partnerships. These goals include 169 targets and 233 indicators, which are linked to one other.
