The College of Law at Al-Kafeel University held a seminar entitled: The Right to Climate, a Comparative Study presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ali Al-Khafaji, Dean of the College, in the presence of the teaching staff at the College on Saturday 4/12/2021.

The seminar included several topics including the causes of climate change and its resulting consequences, for instance, the human misuse of energy sources, which poses an immediate threat to human life.

This requires cooperation on the widest possible range of all countries and participation in the framework of an urgent, effective, and appropriate international response to accelerate the reduction of global emissions of greenhouse gases.

Emphasizing the urgency of addressing these changes, and it is worth noting that:

Climate change is the concern of all mankind. Because this will result in ensuring the basic human rights to health and development. By violating it, human life will be in permanent health danger, and our societies today suffer from congenital malformations and serious diseases, which are a result of countries’ lack of respect for the human right to a moderate and healthy climate.
