The Clinical Pharmacy and Laboratory Sciences Branch of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Kafeel University held a seminar entitled: Prevention of Listeriosis on Tuesday, 21/12/2021, presented by Asst. Lecturer Haider Ali Mohy.
It included an introduction to how to prevent listeriosis and dangerous foodborne diseases caused by Listeria monocytogenes.
It often affects people with weak immunity, such as pregnant women, newborns, and the elderly.
The lecturer stressed the avoidance of food products resulting from unpasteurized milk and the necessity of cooking meat well before consuming it.
