Under the patronage of the Chancellor of Al-Kafeel University, Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammad Shahid Al-Dahan, the College of Pharmacy held a pharmacology and pharmaceutical chemistry branch at Al-Kafeel University, a seminar on water pollution, delivered by the assistant teacher Sami Idan Abd on Sunday, 22/5/2022, in the presence of some of the faculty members. It is claimed that any physical or chemical change in water quality will negatively affect organisms. Consequently, this will make water unstable in many areas. Thus, it will affect the life of people.

The lecturer underlined the necessity and the speed of approaching wastewater problems before it reaches soils or other water resources, which can be reused again to guarantee irrigation of the agricultural lands. He also assured elimination of the spilled oil that is caused by the shipping activities in the seawater - or navigational rivers - by burning٫ and bury the radioactive waste in  specific deserts because it leaks under the groundwater and threatens its safety. This activity is a part of the University's plan to achieve sustainable development goals.
