The College of Pharmacy at Al-Kafeel University held a workshop on "Programmatic Accreditation of Faculties of Pharmacy" on 24 June in the presence of the vice-chancellor for scientific affairs , Asst.Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, , the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Saad Mashkour, his vice-deans and the teaching staff members .
The workshop was conducted Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Al-Hamdan, a member of the National Institutional Residence Team, and Chairman of the Central Committee for Programmatic Accreditation in the Colleges of Pharmacy - College of Pharmacy, University of Karbala. Moreover , the method of writing was tackled to obtain accreditation for academic programs : reviewing the most important steps in how to write a self-report, forming committees based on the guide prepared by the Accreditation Council for Colleges of Pharmacy, and the standards prepared by the Council.
As the Council prepared 10 criteria with a guide to enable colleges of pharmacy to submit their reports to obtain programmatic accreditation. The workshop finds success at the hand of the College of Pharmacy to define the concepts of programmatic accreditation and its importance .
