The College of Dentistry at the University of Alkafeel held a meeting for the Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry Department on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. The meeting focused on discussing key issues pertinent to the forthcoming academic year, with an emphasis on updating the curriculum and enhancing teaching methods in line with the latest advancements in dental science.
Participants stressed the importance of incorporating innovative teaching strategies : interactive learning and problem-based learningto boost student engagement and comprehension. There was also a strong emphasis on the significance of scientific research and participation in conferences and seminars to elevate the knowledge of both faculty members and students.
The meeting also addressed the schedule of scientific activities for the academic year : workshops and scientific seminars to exchange expertise between department members. The session terminated with a manifest vision to enhance the educational process and equip students with the necessary skills to practice dentistry efficiently.
