The College of Medicine held a preparatory meeting on Sunday, 7 September 7, 2025, chaired by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Asst. Prof. Dr. Samer Makki Al-Hakak, in the presence of the assistants, the head of Gastroenterology Department, the teaching staff, and the clinical training officials. This meeting aims to ensure the smooth process of the new academic year.
The meeting focused on discussing the curriculum for the clinical phase, scheduling theoretical and practical lectures, and distributing study schedules. It also tackled the acts of coordinating with teaching hospitals to make certain the smooth practical training and a comprehensive educational experience for students.
The attendees also discussed mechanisms for evaluating students and monitoring their performance during clinical training, certifying adherence to approved academic standards and reviewing methods of support and motivation for students to ensure the highest levels of performance and practical efficiency.
Asst. Prof.Dr. Samer Makki Al-Hakak, Dean of the College, stressed the importance of developing the clinical skills of the students with simulations and intensive practical training, under continuous monitoring of their performance to guarantee the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application and to enhance the quality of medical education.
