The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation , in cooperation with the College of Medical and Health Technology at University of Alkafeel , organized an awareness lecture : "University Codes of Conduct and Hearkening to Student Problems." The lecture was delivered by Asst. Prof.Dr. Iyad Sahib Hammadi and Counsl. Nour Safaa Al-Shaibani, targeting students in the Department of Radiology Technology on Saturday, October 12, 2025.
The lecture addressed the importance of university codes of conduct in regulating student behavior and building an educational environment characterized by respect and discipline. It emphasized that the goal of these codes is to guide and protect students, not to restrict them.
Moreover, it focused on the most prominent problems the students face , such as psychological pressure, poor academic achievement, difficulties adapting socially, and some behaviors resulting from stress or lack of support. The meeting witnessed significant student interaction, as students discussed ways to enhance communication with faculty and emphasized the importance of active listening to address problems before they escalate. There were practical activities aimed at enhancing self-understanding and developing positive dialogue skills at the university environment, in line with the Department of Psychological Guidance missions to support the students psychologically and educationally to ensure a balanced and stimulating learning environment.
