The Faculty of Medicine Council held its second meeting of the 2025-2026 academic year, chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Samer Makki Al-Hakkak. The meeting started with a welcoming speech and greetings from the University President, who commended the efforts of the teaching staff.
The Council discussed several important topics : a review of success rates for various academic levels, emphasizing the importance of thorough preparation for both the OSCE and mid-term examinations for all students.
The addition of “ Global Health” curriculum to the study plans was approved, and the integration of Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) into the curriculum is also meant to enhance the student competency and the quality of medical education.
The meeting concluded with fruitful discussions on developing educational programs, supporting academic advancement, and documenting the efforts made by the heads of the scientific departments to make the college a model in sustainable medical education.
