The College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel held an advanced scientific workshop : “Assessment Blueprinting,” led by Professor Dr. Hilal Al-Saffar, Advisor to the President of University of Alkafeel on Medical Education, on Tuesday, 30 December 2025. The workshop aimed to develop the skills of teaching staff members in the field of assessment and examinations, ensuring that assessments align with learning outcomes according to modern academic standards and achieving fairness and objectivity in assessing the competence of the students .
The workshop addressed the concept of exam blueprinting and its importance in improving the quality of assessments, and its practical applications in theoretical and practical examinations in medical education. Some faculty members from the Universities of Kufa and Jaber Ibn Hayyan also participated in the workshop, contributing to the exchange of expertise and enriching the scientific discussion.
The workshop recommended adopting the Blueprint method for exam preparation, enhancing faculty competence in outcome-based assessment, and continuing to organize specialized workshops on medical education to improve the quality of medical education and support academic accreditation requirements.
