Uses of agricultural land in the village of Al-Negishiya "Al-Qadisiyah sub-district"

Abstract

The present study focuses on investigating the uses of farmlands in an attempt to reveal the geographical distribution of such uses. This can be implemented through drawing geographical maps that elucidate the general classification of the uses of farmlands in the area covered by the study. This is carried out in order to find out the size and spatial distribution of cultivable or uncultivable farmlands. Subsequently, the study purports to examine the influence of geographical factors on that distribution in a bid to arrive at accurate results that serve the aim of the study. One of the most important findings of the research is that arable agricultural areas account for 75.5 percent of the total. Of the total area of the study area, the area of non-arable land constitutes about (24.5%) From the total area, in terms of the different proportions of crops planted, the button was 91 percent. Of the area cultivated in the summer, while the form of wheat (83%) Of the area cultivated during the winter, while palm trees (5.7%) formed of the area cultivated in both chapters
