The Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance hosted an interactive panel in the College of Dentistry on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, under the patronage of Alkafeel University Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nawras Aldahan.

         In the presence of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kareem Al-Ghanem, the Administrative Assistant, a group of college academic staff, and a number of female mentors, the panel was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hossam Al-Obaidi, Head of the Department of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance.

         Its main goals were to highlight the value of education in universities, clarify the extent to which the university environment shapes, determines, or alters societal cultural and social patterns, and show how the lack of educational direction impedes the educational process.

         According to Al-Obaidi, "The teacher must be educational and guide the students because education and guidance are at the core of the teacher's work and are not accidental for him because he is a good role model for students in university and general behavior, which necessitates the teacher to treat all students fairly, whether in applying instructions or making exceptions; because education and guidance are not only orders and prohibitions, but rather they must be modern methods that encourage students to think critically and creatively.

         The College of Dentistry's dean thanked the department of psychological counseling and educational guidance for its successful role in mentoring and advising students after the panel on behalf of the College.
