A symposium was held on Monday, February 5, 2024, at the council of the University of Alkafeel on the approval of the "Vision, Mission, and Objectives" for the College of Medicine. The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahaan, with the presence of the Vice Rector for scientific affairs , Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, and committee members including the Governor of Najaf Al-Ashraf, Dr. Majid Al-Waeli, Prof. Dr. Yasser Al-Akaili, Rector of the University of Kufa, Prof. Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Daddah, president of the Higher Education commission at the Holy Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, the General Director of Najaf Al-Ashraf Health Department, Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Ghazali, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Athab Al-Zubaidi, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Kufa, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Said Abdul Zahra, a committee member, a representative of the Iraqi Medical Association, the director of Al-Sadr Teaching Hospital, Dr. Abdul Ali Al-Ghazali and the deans of the faculties and their vice-deans for scientific and administrative affairs . The members and specialized experts confirmed that the vision, mission, and objectives constitute a progress, aiming for the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel, to graduate doctors distinguished in scientific capabilities and clinical skills, with a focus on professional ethics. They added that the goal is to achieve international standards in medical education and to improve the health reality to have significant medical research goals. The seminar also witnessed active participation from professors and specialized committees, as interventions and comments that enhanced the authenticity of the vision, mission, and future objectives of the College of Medicine at the University  of Alkafeel were exchanged.
