The College of Law, under the supervision of the Continuing Education Department, held a seminar entitled (The dangers of smoking on the individual and society in light of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic), by the Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Ali Al-Khafaji,( the Dean of the College)

The researcher addressed that tobacco use is causally linked to diseases that affect almost all parts of the body.

Studies conducted in various countries have found that death rates among middle-aged smokers are two or three times higher than among non-smokers of the same age, and life expectancy has decreased by about ten years. Smoking and e-cigarette use also increase the risk and severity of pulmonary infection due to damage to the airways, inflammation of the lungs, and reduced lung and immune system function.
