Under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammad Shahid Al-Dahan, the Department of Psychological and Educational Guidance at Al-Kafeel University, in cooperation with the Women’s Library Division of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Al-Abbas’s (Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him) Holy Shrine Association, conducted a workshop for the university’s female students. The workshop included two lectures, the first entitled: Methods of Cultural Use of Social Media, presented by Mrs. Asmaa Raad Al-Abadi, Head of the Women’s Library Division. The second  lecture entitled: Friends of the Library Application lectured by Mrs. Lamia Hussein Al-Moussawi, on Tuesday, 30/11/2021, in the presence of a number of lecturers, affiliates and mentors.

This activity is within a series of activities prepared by the Psychological Counseling Department in its guiding plan for this year. During the workshop, Al-Abadi explained the importance of social media, as it has become a necessity in the scientific and social aspects, and stressed the need to invest these means in accordance with the regulations in order to achieve the benefit of them. The lecturer presented a detailed explanation for the Friends of the Library Application including the scientific and cultural services it provides to researchers and students as well as the availability of electronic books and the publication of articles and writings, as well as other windows provided by the application.

The workshop included several discussions on this topic. The lecturers praised the university for its keenness for hilding such workshops that supports the students energies and skills.
