breast carcinoma, disruption of the p53 pathway is one of the most common genetic alterations. The observation that the p53 can express multiple protein isoforms adds a novel level of complexity to the outcome of p53 mutations. p53 expression was analysed by Western immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry using monoclonal antibodies DO-7, Pab240, and polyclonal antiserum CM-1. The more frequently p53-positive nuclear staining has been found in the invasive breast tumors. One of the most intriguing findings is that mutant p53 appears as discrete dot-shaped regions within the nucleus of breast cancer cells. In many malignant cells, the nucleolar sequestration of p53 is evident.

Platinum(II) N-heterocyclic carbene complexes, derived from benzimidazoles (Z1-Z4), were effectively produced using a one-step approach employing [PtCl2] salts of 1,3-disubstituted benzimidazolium. The resulting end complexes were characterized through FTIR, along with 1H and 13C NMR data. Following characterization, the recently synthesized platinum(II) N-heterocyclic carbene complexes were subjected to biological assessment to determine their anticancer activity.

The synthesis and characterization of silver complexes of N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) are reported in this study. The complexes, labeled 10–13, were prepared by reacting benzimidazolium salts with Ag2O in dichloromethane at room temperature. The hypothesized structures of the complexes were confirmed through thorough analysis, including 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and IR spectroscopy of the newly synthesized compounds. The experimental results support the successful formation of the silver–NHC complexes, suggesting the coordination of the N-heterocyclic carbene ligands to the silver ions. The spectroscopic techniques utilized provide valuable insights into the molecular structures and bonding interactions within the complexes.
