Under the auspices of the Alkafeel University's Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nawras Aldahan, the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies held a symposium on " The Effect of the Marshes Drought in Southern Iraq" which was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Al-Aboudi on Monday, November 14, 2022.
The lecturer shed light on the problem of marshes drying and the effects resulting from that, as well as, the most important effects of the drying phenomenon.
Reflecting on the UNESCO inscription, “The inclusion of the Iraqi Marshes on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites is a milestone, not least in terms of an acknowledgment of the importance of cultural heritage preservation for the country on its way towards a sustainable future..etc..". So, this symposium also comes to shed light on the Marshes conservation importance.
