University Of Alkafeel
The Department of Student Activities at University of Alkafeel, represented by Asst. lectur. Etimad Al-Najm, participated in the training course "Pioneers of Scouting and Guides" held at Al-Kitab University in Kirkuk and sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Department of Student Activities in the Supervision and Evaluation Authority, from Sunday, November 12, 2023, to Thursday, November 16, 2023. The activities and sessions included theoretical explanations and main topics such as a historical overview of the scouting movement : its beginnings in the world and Iraq, clarifying the age stages of scouting, details of the daily life for scouts and guides, and training students on how to become a scout leader and manage a patrol independently, give lectures about scouting and how to interact with religions and participate in their events regardless of race and religion, and adapt to different conditions. Practical explanations on how to prepare a patrol, pitch tents, use pegs, make knots from ropes, and tie them to the pegs were also provided.
