University of Alkafeel witnessed the commencement of the Fifth International Scientific Conference on the morning of Saturday, February 17, 2024, attended by a constellation of academic figures from national, regional, and international universities. The opening session began with the recitation of verses from the Glorious Quran and Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the great martyrs of Iraq, followed by the national anthem and the anthemof "Al-Ibbaa". The opening speech was delivered by Dr. Afdhal Al-Shami, the representative of the legal authority of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, and Dr. Yasser Al-Akili, representing the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research , rector of Kufa University. Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan , the esteemed rector of University of Alkafeel , welcomed the attendees in his opening remarks. Dr. Al-Dahan noted that the conference received over 1000 scientific paper submissions, with 670 accepted for presentation, including 47 international researches from 18 countries. The accepted researches will be published in global journals indexed in Scopus and Clarivate. The conference, lasting two days, will showcase the latest scientific research and contributions in various academic fields. This event marks a significant opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and expertise among researchers and academics worldwide, fostering scientific and cultural cooperation both locally and internationally.
