The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at the University of Alkafeel organized an event to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) on Saturday, May 4, 2024. The event was held in the university events hall, with the presence of the rector, Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahaan, several deans, faculty members and university staff.

    The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Sheikh. Qudama Al-Khudari. Then there was a speech by Seid. Ja'far Al-Murawwij, who spoke about various life aspects of Imam Ja'afar Al-Sadiq ,peace be upon him, to highlight his contributions to the dissemination of knowledge despite the persecutions he faced from the Abbasid state.

    The lecturer emphasized the Imam role in teaching various sciences and how he taught thousands of students in fields such as jurisprudence, the Quran, medicine, chemistry, and debates, establishing himself as a pioneer in spreading knowledge and developing intellects. He stressed that Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq , peace be upon him, confronted deviant intellectual trends and strove to build a healthy society based on sound Islamic values.

    The event concluded with poetic verses reflecting the persecution and oppression faced by the Imam and the hardships he endured from the Abbasids, culminating in his death by poisoning.
