The Al-Abbas Holy Shrine launched the Imam Ali Scientific Conference as a part of the activities of the Second International Imamate Seven Days , in collaboration with University of Alkafeel. The conference, held today, Friday, June 28, 2023, at the College of Medicine of University of Alkafeel, witnessed the attendance of several prominent figures : the Secretary General of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, Seid. Mustafa Murtadha Dhiaa Al-Din; Prof. Dr. Abbas Rasheed Al-Dadah, Head of the Teaching and Higher Education Commission at Holy Al-Abbas Shrine; Dr. Afdhal Al-Shami, Director of the Seid.Al-Safi office ; Rector of University of Alkafeel, Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan; Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, members of the shrine administration and religious , official and academic personalities.

    The Second International Imamate Week is held under the slogan "Prophethood and Imamate: Two Single-Rooted Palm Trees beyond Chasm” , aiming to shed light on the approach of the Imams in educating individuals and the nation. The conference activities began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Sheikh Mahdi Qalander, Surah Al-Fatiha is recited in memory of Iraqi martyrs, and the anthem of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine. The Preparatory and Scientific Committee speech was delivered by Dr. Nawras Al-Dahan, the Rector of University of Alkafeel.

The conference includes the discussion of eight research papers addressing various topics, including the impact of Imam Ali (Peace be upon him) narrations on interpretive sciences, religious education (theological and jurisprudential), psychological, ethical, and social education, literary and cultural education, and as health and physical education. The conference aims to dedicate the sciences and biographies of Ahlalbayt (Peace be upon them) in addressing contemporary global crises and to highlight their role in resolving intellectual doubts and countering deviant ideas.
