The University of Alkafeel concluded its first aid specialized training course on Monday, July 29, 2024, in collaboration with the Najaf branch of the Red Crescent Society. The event was attended by the vice rector , Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Asst. Prof. Dr. Samer Maki Al-Hakak.
The course, which lasted for two days in the College of Medicine hall, aimed to train university staff and students to provide medical services at the university mowkib serving visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). A specialized team from the Red Crescent Society conducted the course, focusing on the importance of first aid and its role in saving lives in emergency situations.
The course included both theoretical and practical components. In the theoretical part, participants received essential information and explanations about first aid and how to achieve it very well . The practical part involved training scenarios to teach students and staff the skills to handle emergencies, such as treating wounds, burns, and bleeding, performing CPR, and managing fractures, poisoning, and heatstroke.
Such an act of training is part of the University of Alkafeel preparations to offer the best medical services to visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and to enhance the capabilities of students and staff in handling emergencies, ensuring the safety of visitors during the pilgrimage season.
