The Algerian thinker and media figure, Dr. Yahya Abu Zakaria, visited the university of Alkafeel in Najaf, today, Tuesday, 6 July 2024 and was accompanied by the head of the MediaDepartment at the Holy Al-`Abbas Holy Shrine, Ali Al-Badri.
The delegation was received by the chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Nawras Muhammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, the vice-chancellor for scientific affairs . During the meeting, the chancellor reviewed the academic, scientific and technological developments that the university has witnessed since its establishment, stressing the use of the latest technologies and the role of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine in supporting educational pioneering projects.
The visit included a tour of the University Council to observe the advanced technologies . The delegation also visited the College of Medicine, where it examined the virtual anatomy laboratories and learned about the latest global technologies used. The visit extended to include the College of Pharmacy and the College of Dentistry, where the delegation met the advanced laboratories and study halls.
In a special statement to the university website, Dr. Yahya Abu Zakaria expressed his great admiration for what he saw at the university of Alkafeel : "My admiration for the university of Alkafeel University began from the first moment we entered the campus, where we saw elaborate buildings established according to highly civilized standards. The university of Alkafeel comes equal in its level to international universities, and motivates students to further their academic achievement. This achievement is one of the civilized achievements of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, and every Iraqi, Arab and Muslim is proud of it."
Then Dr. Yahya added: "I visited the colleges of medicine, pharmacy and dentistry, and what we saw of cleanliness, system and moral values runs in line with to the most prestigious international universities. Al-Kafeel University dedicates a sophisticated scientific approach that provides a distinguished scientific environment for students."
Finally , he concluded his visit by extending his thanks and appreciation to the university presidency for the warm reception, expressing his happiness with the modern technologies and advanced infrastructure that the university enjoys.
