On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, the College of Pharmacy organized a scientific visit for fifth-year students to the Samarra drug factoryaiming at enhancing the practical aspects of the educational process. The visit was achieved by the dean of the College of Pharmacy, Asst.Prof.Dr. Saad Mashkur Walid, and the head of the department of pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical industry, Prof.Dr. Ahmed Hashim Hussein, and several faculty members. The tour included an overview of the production lines, quality control processes, and the modern methods used in drug testing.
During the visit, the dean of the college emphasized that these activities are part of the college commitment to activating practical aspects to support theoretical education, noting that such visits contribute to elevating the levels of the students in having real-world scenarios.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Hashim explained that the scientific trip represents an important opportunity for students to understand how to apply what they learn to the classroom in real life, developing their academic and practical competencies.
