University of Alkafeel in A Condolence Session on the anniversary of the Martyrdom of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her)
2024 - 10 - 12

The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at the University of Alkafeel organized, on Saturday 10/12/2024, a condolencesession on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her). The session was held at the university chancellery , in the presence of deans of colleges, faculty members and a group of personnel .

The council session started with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the reciter Mr. Muhannad Al-Mayali, Director of the Holy Quran Institute pertinent to the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine in Najaf Al-Ashraf. Then there was a sermon by Sheikh.Jaafar Al-Wa'ily, in which he addressed the issue of authority beyond the divine law , highlighting the role of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) in defending prophethood and imamate, as Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) was a symbol of defending the call of her father, the Noble Prophet (may His prayers be upon him and his family), and the imamate of her husband, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him). In his speech, Sheikh Al-Wa'ilyreferred to several hadiths from the Ahlalbayt (peace be upon them) that shed light on the injustice suffered by Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) after the death of the Prophet Muhammad (may His prayers be upon him and his family). Among the most prominent of these hadiths is what was narrated from Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) who said: "Fatima (peace be upon her) was broken-hearted, worried, and dejected after the Messenger of Allah (may His prayers be upon him and his family)." He also touched on what happened to her, such as her broken rib and miscarriage after the death of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), citing the words of Imam Ali (peace be upon him): “She was weakened after the death of the Messenger of Allah, her rib was broken, and her fetus was miscarried.” The session concluded with elegies and poignant poems that embodied the depth of the grief the believers experience on the anniversary of this painful tragedy. The organization of this session comes in line with the university interest in commemorating religious occasions and immortalizing the memory of the Infallibles (peace be upon them).
