The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at the College of Medical and Health Technologies organized an educational advisory lecture today, Tuesday, 10/22/2024, delivered by the psychological counselor, Ms. Houria Ali Hassan, targeting junior students in the Radiology Department.
The lecture addressed the topic of "Youth Transformation and the Low Content" that dominate social media sites, as Ms. Houria reviewed the negative effects of this content on values and culture in Islamic Arab societies, and explained how the companies that own these sites contribute to supporting and encouraging the owners of these channels by money, which increases the spread of harmful content.
The psychological counselor also stressed the importance of the role of educated youth in facing these challenges, and called for taking responsibility in preserving the values of society, stressing the need to spread awareness between the segments of the society and the young generation in particular.
