On Monday, October 28, 2024, the College of Pharmacy at University of Alkafeel organized a scientific seminar : "Treatment of GERD", delivered by Lect. Dr. Yahya Ibrahim Yahya, in Sheikh Al-Balaghi Hall.
During the seminar, Dr. Yahya discussed gastroesophageal reflux disease, which is a common condition caused by the frequent reflux of stomach acid into the esophagus, abbreviated as GERD. The lecturer provided a comprehensive review of the available treatment methods, from simple measures to advanced treatments, with medical advice that would alleviate symptoms and reduce complications.
This activity aims to enhance pharmacy students to understand the latest diagnostic and treatment methods for gastroesophageal reflux disease, and to develop their skills in dealing with this disease, as part of the acumen of the college to enrich the medical knowledge of its students and keep pace with scientific progress in therapeutic fields.
