Al-Kafeel Research Center for Pharmaceutical and Medical Sciences, in collaboration with the Lifelong Learning Center at University of Alkafeel , organized a distinguished lecture on Monday, 11/4/2024 : "Research as Catalyst for Strengthening Knowledge, Critical Thinking, and Creativity in the Academia", by Dr. Akram Jalal, a lecturer at the College of Medical and Health Technologies.
The lecture addressed the importance of scientific research as a means of stimulating and enhancing cognitive, creative, and critical thinking skills for the university teaching staff. Dr. Jalal discussed how research activities could contribute to raising the cognitive level of the university professor, by classifying research skills into multiple levels that address skills of scientific research.
Dr. Jalal emphasized three main points in his speech: First, how scientific research can deepen knowledge at different levels; Second, how it contributes to enhancing critical thinking; and Third, how it leads to achieving creativity and innovation in academic circles.Such an initiative falls within the remit of the strategy for the university to develop the capabilities of professors, which contributes to improving the quality of education and research in the academic institution.
