On Wednesday, 11/7/2024, futsal championship concluded at University of Alkafeel , which was held under the auspices of the university presidency and under the supervision of the Student Activities Department.

The final match was held in the hall of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in the presence of Prof.Dr. Bassem Hassan Ghazi, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Kufa, and Prof. Dr. Fadhel Ismail Sharad, Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies at University of Alkafeel.

    The final match witnessed an exciting confrontation between the teams of the College of Dentistry and the team of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology from the College of Medical and Health Technologies. The match resulted in the victory of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology team as first, while the College of Dentistry team came as second.

    In a statement, Asst. Lect. Itimad Kamel Tawfiq Al-Najm, Head of the Student Activities Department at the University, stressed the importance of this event in strengthening ties between students and developing their sportsmanship. She added: "The university focuses on organizing sports and cultural activities that contribute to building the personality of the students and developing their skills outside the academic framework, and we continue to organize such tournaments that contribute to improving the athletic performance of students and enhancing cooperation and teamwork between them."

    It is worth noting that the tournament comes within a series of student activities that University of Alkafeel seeks to organize to support and develop sports talents in the university campus, and to advocate the concept of sports as an essential part of university life.
