As part of its celebration of important religious occasions, the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel held an annual condolence session on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), according to the second narrative of her martyrdom. The session was organized at the university chancellery headquarters on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

    There was a number of deans , faculty members and a group of university personnel . The ceremony began with a blessed recitation of verses from Glorious Quran recited by Sheikh. Mahdi Qalandar, from Holy Quran Institute affiliated with the Al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine in Najaf.

   This was followed by a religious lecture delivered by seid. Abdul Jabbar Al-Awadi, which addressed the injustice  Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) experienced and her historical role in defending the prophethood and imamate. Al-Awadi explained that Lady Fatima Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) was a symbol of steadfastness and pride in confronting the authority that deviated from divine rule, pointing to her honorable position in supporting the call of her father, the Prophet Muhammad , may Allah bless him and his family, and the imamate after him.

    In his lecture, Mr. Al-Awady mentioned several hadiths of the Ahlul Bayt , peace be upon them, that shed light on the injustice Lady Zahra suffered from : such as the hadith of Imam Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him): “Fatima , peace be upon her, was broken-hearted, worried, and sad after the Messenger of Allah , may Allah bless him and his family, and he also mentioned what the lady was exposed to in terms of her broken rib and miscarriage, citing the saying of Imam Ali (peace be upon him): “She was weakened after the death of the Messenger of Allah , her rib was broken, and her fetus was miscarried.”

    Organizing these annual sessions come in alignment with the interest of Al-Kafeel University interest in reviving religious memories and deepening cultural and religious awareness between its members, in a way that enhances the Islamic and educational values derived from the Ahlul Bayt , peace be upon them.
