In the remit of the activities of the Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation Week, the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel held a scientific lecture in collaboration with the Family Culture Center pertinent to Holy Al-AbbasShrine, under the patronage of the University chancellor , Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan .

    The university hosted Dr. Shaima Nasser, a specialist in psychiatry and cognitive behavioral therapy, who gave a lecture : "If you want to change your life, change your thoughts" on Monday, 25/11/2024.

The lecture addressed the role of women in building a healthy family, pointing out the importance of improving ideas and concepts related to family relationships to achieve a healthy and stable environment. The lecture was dedicated to female students only, as the Family Culture Center works to provide family counseling and build families on the approach of the Ahlalbayt (peace be upon them). The lecture showed great interaction from the students, who were so interested in the content and participated in certain gestures interventions that enriched the discussion.

    Professor Dr. Nawal Al-Mayali, vice-chancellor for academic affairs, also confirmed that these activities show the acumen of Al-Kafeel University to enhance psychological and social culture, and contribute to building a balanced academic community capable of facing challenges. She added that the consultations will continue for two days to support female students and guiding them in psychological and educational aspects.
