The College of Technical Engineering at University of Alkafeel organized a specialized scientific lecture on the topic of "Cybersecurity" on Monday, 02/12/2024. It was delivered by Asst.Prof.Dr. Ali Jassim Al-Amri, Dean of the College, who discussed the importance of this topic in light of the rapid technological challenges.

    The lecturer stressed the importance of enhancing awareness of cybersecurity and its essential role in protecting digital systems and confidential data from increasing threats, such as malware, ransomware attacks, and phishing. He also touched on the concept of cybersecurity and its objectives, explaining that there are different types of it, such as network security, application security, and information security.

  There was a focus on the challenges facing individuals and institutions in the field of information protection, presenting innovative solutions for the future such as quantum encryption and the use of artificial intelligence in predicting and preventing threats.

    The lecture concluded with a fruitful discussion session that addressed future trends to secure a safe digital environment. Dr. Ali Jassim Al Ameri recommended the need to enhance cooperation between academic and industrial institutions to develop modern technologies, with a focus on the importance of education and training to prepare cadres capable of facing digital challenges.
