The University of Alkafeel chancellor, Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, received a high-level delegation that included his excellency the Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology, "Hossein Simaei", and his accompanying delegation, on Friday, January 17, 2025.

    The meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Moussawi, Head of the Teaching and Higher Education Commission at Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, seid.Adnan Al-Moosawi , Member of Administration Board of Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jash'ami, chancellor of Al-Ameed University, Prof. Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, vice-chancellor for scientific affairs at University of Alkafeel , college deans, their assistants, faculty members and university personnel .

At the beginning of the visit, his excellency the Minister of Science, Research and Technology stated:

"The facilities of the university are very modern, and the educational facilities are equipped with the latest technologies. My meeting with the educational and student team was full of positivity, and I will certainly be a friend and supporter of the development of Iraq and enhancing collaboration between our two countries."

    The visiting delegation also toured the university : laboratories, classrooms, data center, and modern educational systems. His excellency the Minister praised the use of the university for the renewable energy and its employment in improving the educational environment, and optimally investing human resources. He stressed that what he saw at the university represents a distinguished educational model.

    In this regard , the University of Alkafeel chancellor ,Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, said:

"The visit of his excellency ,the Minister represents an important step towards enhancing joint collaboration between educational institutions in Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran. During the visit, we reviewed the achievements of the university in the fields of infrastructure and modern educational systems, which aim to provide an educational advanced environment."Then he manifested that "We are fully aware of the great role of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine in supporting the education project in Iraq. The shrine has effectively contributed to providing the necessary support for the development of educational institutions, and we at Alkafeel University consider this part of our ongoing mission to improve the level of education in the country."

   The visit concluded with praising the scientific and educational achievements of Alkafeel University, stressing the importance of enhancing collaboration between the two sides in the future to serve education and scientific research.
