Under the patronage of the university chancellor , Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the third-year students in the Department of Radiology at the College of Medical and Health Technologies, in collaboration with the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation , organized a special celebration on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).

    The celebration was attended with the college deans , a number of professors , personnel and a large gathering of students who came to participate in this blessed occasion wreathed in an atmosphere of joy and pleasure . The ceremony was opened with a fragrant recitation of surahs from Glorious Quran, by student Mohammed Ali Rashid, then there was a valuable lecture by Khatib .Sheikh. Zaman Al-Hasnawi, as he discussed the virtues of Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and his heroic role in supporting the truth and Islam. He also reviewed his blessed upbringing and the influence of his surrounding environment in building his unique personality, emphasizing the great role played by his parents in raising him on authentic Islamic values.

    Then Sheikh. Al-Hasnawi touched on the honorable stances of Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in Karbala, where he embodied the highest meanings of sacrifice, loyalty and altruism, and spent his most precious and valuable things to support Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him) and preserve the principles of Islam.

   The ceremony also witnessed a distinguished literary participation, as student Ali Mitham Ali recited a poem that expressed feelings of loyalty and devotion to the guarantor Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and the Ahlalbayt (peace be upon them), which received great interaction from the audience.

    This event falls within the remit of the university acumen to consolidate spiritual and moral values between its students, and to enhance its educational and cultural role in building an aware generation that adheres to sublime principles.
