The Department of Anesthesia Techniques at the College of Medical and Health Technology / University of Alkafeel organized an awareness lecture : “Anesthesia Ethics” on Tuesday, 4/2/2025, by Lect. Dr. Muntaha Abdullah Rishan.

   The lecture aimed to introduce students to the importance of ethics in the anesthesia profession, and to enhance their commitment to professional values and principles, as it focused on several axes : making ethical decisions in difficult situations, adhering to medical confidentiality, principles of justice and independence, and dealing with critical cases. The lecture also included an open discussion and presentation of case studies to help students understand the ethical challenges they may face in the future.

    The lecture emphasized the importance of adhering to medical ethics to ensure patient safety, and the need to clearly explain the risks and benefits of anesthesia to enhance the concept of informed consent. It also emphasized respecting the confidentiality of medical information, and improving communication skills with patients and their families to ensure sound and safe decisions.

    The lecture also addressed ethical dealing with critical cases, commitment to legal and professional responsibility, and emphasized the need for continuous professional development to keep pace with the developments in the field of anesthesia.

    Here the lecture comes as part of the efforts of the department to support ethical awareness among students and prepare them to practice the profession responsibly and efficiently, which contributes to improving the quality of healthcare for patients.
