The Holy Al-Abbas Shrine inaugurated the activities of the second day of the central graduation ceremony for girl-students from Iraqi universities and Islamic countries, the eighth version . The ceremony is organized by Religious Al-Kafeel Schools for Womenaffiliated with Legal Custodian Office for WomenAffairs at the Holy Shrine, under the slogan (From the Light of Fatima We Illuminate the World), and for the academic year 2023/2024, with the participation of more than 4000 girl-students from various Iraqi governorates and Islamic countries.
The ceremony was attended by the Secretary-General of Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, seid. Mustafa Murtada Al-Dhia' al-Din, and a number of its board members, department heads and officials. The ceremony activities began with the recitation of ayats from Glorious Quran by the reciter of the Holy Shrine, seid. Haider Julakhan, followed by the recitation of the graduation oath of loyalty and honesty to serve the homeland in front of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in the courtyard of Bab al-Qibla, and performing the ceremonies of visiting . Seid. Al-Dhia Al-Din said, "The Holy Abbasid Shrine is guided by the supreme religious authority, as all its programs and activities focus on the human being : his religion and his country," indicating that "this activity was designed by the legal custodian of the Holy Shrine, His Eminence, the scholar seid. Ahmed Al-Safi, and its details were interpreted , this vision focuses on respecting the human being and revering knowledge and scholars.
" He added, "The participating graduates here were from all colors of the Iraqi spectrum, and the icon of the ceremony was the Iraqi palm tree, the supreme Iraqi symbol to renew our belonging to Iraq, the participation of graduates from other Islamic countries indicates that this graduation model is praiseworthy and reflects and translates our Islamic identity." Al-Dhia Al-Din explained that "the eighth edition of the central graduation ceremony for girl-students from Iraqi universities and Islamic countries witnessed the participation of 170 girl-students from 7 Islamic countries: Kuwait, Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, Lebanon, Iran, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, in addition to more than 4,000 female students from within Iraq." The Secretary-General stressed the necessity for educated women to adhere to moral values and be a role model in society, and that education alone is not enough to form a civilized personality, but rather cultural and social awareness is necessary. The Holy Al-Abbas Shrine holds the graduation ceremony of "Daughters of Al-Kafeel", with the aim of providing moral support to the graduating girl-students, as their educational journey concludes and their practical life begins from the courtyard of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
