On Monday, 2/24/2025, Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed , chancellor of University of Alkafeel , and Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, vice-chancellor for scientific affairs, received a delegation from Wasit University headed by Prof.Dr. Abbas Lafta Al-Aqabi, chancellor of the University, Dr. Subaih Lafta Farhan, vice-chancellor for scientific affairs, and Dean of the College of Computer, Mathematics and Information Technology.

    A field tour was conducted that included the university entities , classrooms, scientific laboratories and modern infrastructure, in addition to reviewing the advanced technologies and educational systems applied at the university.

     Prof.Dr. Abbas Lafta Al-Aqabi expressed his great admiration for the development in University of Alkafeel , stressing that it has an advanced infrastructure and modern technologies that can contribute to preparing scientific specialized cadres that serve human development in Iraq. He also praised the university policy of openness to academic collaboration with various Iraqi universities.

    In a statement by Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed , he stressed that this visit reflects the depth of academic relations between the two universities, noting that University of Alkafeel always seeks to enhance scientific and research cooperation with international , Arab and Iraqi universities. He also welcomed any initiative that contributes to developing the educational process and exchanging academic and research experiences, stressing the readiness of the university to provide everything necessary to support this fruitful cooperation.

    In this regard, Prof. Dr. Abbas Lafta Al-Aqabi stressed that the visit was fruitful and of great benefit, as the delegation was briefed on the urban projects and technical achievements and the prospects of joint cooperation between the two universities in various fields. He mentioned that University of Alkafeel represents a model to be emulated in the field of higher education due to its giant projects that contribute to building the Iraqi person and developing his scientific and practical capabilities. He explained that this visit laid the initial foundations for concluding joint cooperation agreements between the two universities to exchange experiences and enhancing joint scientific research.
At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed its thanks and appreciation to the University of Alkafeel chancellery and its members for the warm reception and generous hospitality, appreciating the efforts toraise the educational and academic level in a way that reflects the vision and message of the Holy Al-Abbas  Holy Shrine in serving society and higher education.
