University of Alkafeel , through its Drug Awareness Team, participated in the conference "Iraq Without Drugs: into a health and safe Future" organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research - Research and Development Department in the facilities of Al-Nahrain University in Baghdad, on Tuesday 25/2/2025.

    The participating team wan in the pavilion of the university pavilion, which witnessed a distinguished presence, as the team reviewed its awareness efforts and the activities it has carried out inside and outside the university since its inception in 2022. The pavilion received wide attention from the participants, who praised the vital role played by University of Alkafeel in enhancing community awareness of the dangers of drugs and ways to prevent them.

   The conference showed the participation of representatives from various universities and research institutions, which provided a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing ways to confront the phenomenon of drugs and enhance cooperation between academic and community bodies.

    The university confirmed that the team, from the very beginning , has presented many educational programs and lectures on campus and in other institutions to spread awareness about the dangers of addiction and its negative impact on individuals and society. The team also continues to work in coordination with official and community bodies to support national efforts in combating drugs.

    Such a participation comes as a confirmation of the commitment the university does to its social responsibility and its acumen to contribute effectively to national initiatives to build a society free from the scourge of drugs, based on its belief in the importance of awareness as one of the main axes for protecting youth and promoting a safe, educational and healthy environment.

   At the conclusion of the conference, Prof. Dr. Lubna Khamis, Director General of the  Development and Research Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, honored University of Alkafeel with an appreciation shield, for its distinguished efforts in the field of awareness of the dangers of drugs and its effective contribution to the success of the conference.
