The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel , in collaboration with the College of Dentistry, organized an educational guidance lecture : "Honoring Parents, Managing Relationships with Them, and Their Impact on Character Building" on Monday, March 10, 2025.

    The lecture was delivered by Asst.Prof.Dr. Hussam Ali Hassan Al-Obaidi, Director of the Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel , as part of the weekly schedule for first-year students in the College of Dentistry.

    The lecture addressed the importance of honoring parents and its pivotal role in building a psychologically and socially balanced personality. The lecturer presented a video clip on the topic, then an open discussion and dialogue with the students about the most prominent ideas presented in the clip.

    During his lecture, Dr. Al-Obaidi emphasized the necessity of achieving social and psychological balance, emphasizing that a healthy family relationship built on honoring parents is one of the most important pillars of this balance. He also highlighted important aspects of honoring parents that children may miss , despite their significant impact on the psychological health of parents.

    This lecture comes as part of the efforts  of the university to promote moral and social values among students and provide them with the knowledge that contributes to building their personalities in a comprehensive manner.
