Under the patronage of the President of University of Alkafeel , Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, the Student Activities Department concluded the Five-a-Side Football Championship, which brought together university faculty and administrative staff in a challenging and competitive sporting atmosphere on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

The final match was held between the College of Dentistry team and the Information Services team, then the College of Dentistry team comes first and the Information Services team does second . This tournament is the first organized by the Student Activities Department during Ramadan as part of the Ramadan evenings on campus .

The closing ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shahid Al-Dahan, and vice-chancellor for academic affairs , Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, where the winning teams were honored. For his part, the University President emphasized the importance of such events, which strengthen ties among university members and foster a spirit of cooperation and fair competition.

In a statement, Mr. Nabil Kamel Al-Yasiri, representative of the Student Activities Department, announced the victory of the College of Dentistry teamover the Information Services team in the final match. The outstanding players were also honored : Abbas Kazim from the Information Services as the Best Player award and Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Sahib Saad Jubran as the Best Goalkeeper award and Ali Hussein as the best play in the tournament.

In conclusion, Mr.Al-Yasiri indicated that more tournaments will be organized in the future, wishing all participating teams success and emphasizing the need to increase attendance and participation in upcoming sporting events.
