Department of Computer Engineering Technology at the College of Engineering Technology at University of Alkafeel held an awareness seminar :"Climate Action," Asst.Prof. Zainab Sabah Eidan on Monday, April 7, 2025. As an event , it aimed to raise environmental awareness among faculty and students and highlight the growing challenges resulting from climate change and its impact on the environment, economy, and society, with a focus on the importance of adopting sustainable practices and employing modern technologies to reduce carbon emissions and achieve sustainable development.
The seminar included a comprehensive presentation on climate change resulting from human activity : rising temperatures and melting ice. It also reviewed international and local initiatives to address these phenomena and highlighted the role of technical and engineering solutions in protecting the environment and mitigating the effects of climate change.
There were a notable interaction from the attendees and contributions that enriched the discussion . Such emphasized the importance of continuing these activities, which promote a culture of environmental responsibility among students and the academic community.
