The Department of Computer Engineering Technology at the College of Engineering Technology at University of Alkafeel organized a lecture : "Integrating Renewable Energy in Smart Cities," by Asst.Prof. Shahd Ahmed Al-Sharifi on Monday, April 14, 2025.
The lecture aimed to highlight the importance of renewable energy and its effective role in developing smart cities, focusing on how to utilize these resources to enhance energy efficiency and preserve the environment. It also sought to raise the awareness of the students of modern technologies in this vital field.
The lecture included a review of the basic concepts of renewable energy and its importance in planning future cities, in addition to presenting examples of successful global experiences. The activity witnessed significant interaction from the audience through constructive questions and interventions.
