College of Pharmacy at University of Alkafeel Organizes Two Visits :Orphanage and Nursing Home.

Under the patronage of the esteemed President of Alkafeel University, Prof.Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, and with the support of the Chairman of the  Community Service Committee, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmed Hussein Al-Mayali, vice-dean for administrative affairs, and in cooperation with The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation , the College of Pharmacy at Alkafeel University organized two community service activities on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. These activities included separate visits to the Al-Bara`am Orphanage and Elderly Home.

These two visits embody the mission of the university to instill the principles of social solidarity and promote noble moral values among students. A number of second-year students participated in the visit to the orphanage, where a series of recreational and cultural activities were organized, and symbolic gifts were distributed to the orphaned children, bringing joy and happiness to their hearts.

A visit to the Elderly Home was also organized.

Participants provided psychological and social support to the elderly. Interactive meetings were organized to boost their morale, and a lunch was provided. This initiative stems from a sense of moral and societal responsibility toward this important segment of society, based on values that encourage compassion, solidarity, and mutual respect among members of society.

The students expressed their happiness at participating in these community activities, emphasizing the importance of repeating such initiatives, which foster within them a spirit of giving and positive interaction with various segments of society.

At the conclusion of the two visits, the administrations of the two places expressed their thanks and gratitude to University of Alkafeel , the College of Pharmacy, and The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation for these noble gestures, which reflect the commitment of the university to its community role and its ongoing efforts to enhance communication with civil society institutions.
