On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel organized a scientific workshop presented by consultant surgeon Dr. Ali Kamal Abdul-A'immah Al-Dulaimi, a lecturer at the college, with the attendance of several faculty members.
The workshop, "Gallstones: Treatment and Complications," tackled the latest developments in the treatment of gallstones, with a focus on the latest surgical techniques used, particularly laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Al-Dulaimi also addressed the most prominent complications that may accompany the disease or follow treatment procedures.
There was a significant interaction from the attendees, who enriched the discussion with their scientific contributions. This contributed to enhancing mutual understanding and the exchange of experiences among the faculty, as part of the ongoing efforts of the college to advance academic and scientific standards and keep pace with modern medical developments.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities that the College of Medicine is keen to organize to support the educational process and develop the skills and knowledge of both faculty and students.
