On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, Prof.Dr. NawrasMohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan , President of University of Alkafeel , received a ministerial committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The visit was attended by the vice-dean for scientific affairs, Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali, the deans and assistants of the colleges.

The visit was part of assessing the commitment to applying biological, chemical, and radiological safety and security standards to scientific laboratories. Prof.Dr. Nawal Ayed Al-Mayali accompanied the committee on its inspection tour, which included the laboratories of the Colleges of Medicine and Dentistry. Dental, Pharmacy, Health and Medical Technologies, and also the laboratories that have chemicals and dual-use materials.

The committee conducted a comprehensive field inspection, which included completing evaluation forms for each laboratory and reviewing emergency plans and mechanisms for handling hazardous and biological materials, as well as the radiation protection plan.

At the conclusion of the visit, the ministerial committee expressed its satisfaction with the high level of preparedness it found in the laboratories. It commended the university's commitment to approved safety standards and to providing a safe educational and research environment that supports the quality of education and meets academic accreditation requirements.
