The Lifelong Learning Unit at the College of Dentistry at University of Alkafeel held a workshop : "Green Dentistry: The Path to Sustainability" on Monday, April 21, 2025. The workshop was presented by Lect. Azal Hadi Yaqoub, and attended by a group of faculty members and staff.
The workshop highlighted the importance of adopting environmentally friendly practices in dentistry, including effective waste management, reducing the use of non-biodegradable materials, and adopting sustainable alternative devices and materials. The workshop also discussed the most prominent challenges facing this trend and presented practical, applicable solutions that contribute to achieving environmental sustainability within clinics and educational institutions.
This workshop is part of a series of activities implemented by the Lifelong Learning Unit aimed at promoting environmental awareness in various medical specialties.
