Latest Scientific Collaboration between University of Alkafeel and Kufa University

A scientific and academic collaboration agreement was signed between the College of Medicine at the University of Alkafeel and the College of Medicine at the University of Kufa on Monday, May 12, 2025, in the presence of the deans and their assistants of both the colleges.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel by Asst.Prof.Dr. Samer Maki Al-Hakak, Dean of the College and his administrative and scientific assistants. In time , the agreement was signed on behalf of the College of Medicine at University of Alkafeel by Prof.Dr. Ahmed `Athab Al-Zubaidi, Dean of the College and his and administrative and scientific assistants.

The agreement aims to enhance collaboration between the two institutions in several academic and scientific fields that are as follows : 

- Developing curricula and updating academic plans of the same specializations.

- Exchanging books and scientific resources, and holding joint training workshops.

- Collaborating in the field of summer training and joint supervision of graduation projects.

- Offering Mutual use of laboratories and educational clinics to serve the educational process.

 

Moreover , the agreement also stipulates a kind of collaboration in developing the e-learning environment , promoting scientific research by joint workshops and training courses , and providing mutual access to specialized libraries.

The agreement also includes the activation of joint student activities : organizing scientific visits, holding sports tournaments, student conferences , the exchange of expertise in the fields of training and academic supervision, and participation in the Open Clinical Skills Examination (OSCE) as part of the clinical skills assessment framework.

Both sides laid emphasis on the importance of this step in supporting the quality of medical education and the need to invest in available scientific energies and expertise to contribute to building an academic medical distinguishedgeneration.

The signing ceremony took place in a formal atmosphere, and the two parties expressed their appreciation for the importance of this agreement and its future benefits in the fields of education, training, and scientific research. It was announced that the agreement will enter into force from the date of signing and will continue for a renewable period of five years.

Such a step fell within the policy of the University of Alkafeel to broaden and solidify the international and local institutional cooperation to support the progress of higher education in Iraq and contribute to providing society with authentic scientific competencies.
