The Department of Psychological Guidance and Educational Orientation at University of Alkafeel organized an annual mourning ceremony on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir and the ambassador of Hussein, Muslim ibn Aqeel (peace be upon them). The ceremony was held at the university presidency building. 

The ceremony was attended by the university president, Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Shaheed Al-Dahan, college deans , department heads, and a select group of professors, administrative staff, and personnel . The ceremony was wreathed with an ambience of reverence and contemplation of the Ahl al-Bayt life (peace be upon them).

    The session started with a blessed recitation of ayats from Glorious Quran by reciter Seid. Dhu al-Fiqar al-Sa'bari from Holy Quran Institute in Najaf, pertinent to Holy Al-Abbas Shrine. This was followed by a valuable religious lecture delivered by Sheikh. Hafedhal-Dajeili , who reviewed the luminous features of the life of Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him), his pioneering position in spreading the knowledge of thefamily of the prophet and establishing the foundations of Islamic thought, and the honorable stances of the ambassador of al-Husayn, Muslim ibn Aqeel (peace be upon him).
Organizing such a session reflects the commitment of the university to commemorating religious occasions, instilling authentic Islamic values in the university community, and enhancing awareness of the importance of emulating the lives of the pure Imams (peace be upon them) in confronting contemporary intellectual and cultural challenges.
